Honoring the Seniors

On Friday night, October 8th, Woodlan honored the senior members of the Spirit of Woodlan at Senior Night before the Varsity football game. It was a great opportunity to recognize all of the hard work these young men and women have done over their years at Woodlan. I was amazed to hear how involved these young people have been through the years with marching band, pep band, concert band, jazz band, winter percussion, musical band, and show choir band. These are some dedicated students and great leaders! They will certainly be missed! The seniors and their parents were recognized in front of the home crowd just before the game.

The Class of 2022 Seniors with their parents

As lightning threatened in the distance and rain scattered the area, the Spirit of Woodlan prepared to perform their show during halftime of the game. The bleachers were wet from earlier showers, but they managed to stay relatively dry and the rain moved out of the area. They did a great job, as always, and sounded amazing.

This was the last scheduled regular home football game of the season! Is it just me, or is this season going by really quickly? Tomorrow will be the first of the ISSMA competitions… it’s getting good now!
