The Spirit of Woodlan has already had an exciting summer having participated in the 2017 National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. The band was selected by State Representative Marlin Stutzman to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The students and parents traveled to D.C. on July 1st and returned home on July 5th. The students were provided with a tour guide during the trip and visited many historical places such as Mount Vernon, Arlington Cemetery, and the Lincoln Memorial.
