Winter Guard Competes Again and Winter Winds Prepares to Rise Up!

According to Jennifer Spencer, with 2 kids injured and on crutches, the guard had to get creative this past week! The guard extended practices after school until 9pm this week, just like in the fall. With hard work and some frustration, the show was complete just in time for competition on Saturday, February 4th. Nerves were much more under control this week as the guard wished all of New Haven guard the best of luck as they passed them on the way to warm ups. New Haven guard had been in a small fender bender on the way to competition and our kids were sure to let them know we were rooting for them! Once on the floor, the kids did great! However, they struggled to carry the tarp off the floor due to losing the help from the two members who were injured.

The guard managed to bring home another silver this weekend even with all the changes they had made in a short amount of time! They will have 2 weeks off to make some more improvements and then on to Carroll they go on February 25th.

Here are the results from the Anderson competition for the Festival Class:

New Castle JV (Silver), Elkhart JV Winter Guard (Silver), Bishop Dwenger Radiance (Gold), Woodlan Winter Guard (Silver), Huntington North Winter Guard (Silver), New Haven Winter Guard (Bronze), Leo High School (Gold), McCutcheon Winter Guard (Silver), Anderson HS JV Winter Guard (Silver), Fairfield JV (Silver).
